INFORMATION

The 12 PASSENGER-97 foot HISTORIC YACHT the M/V SEA WOLF maintains a flexible cruise itinerary that explores Glacier Bay, Alaska, the wilderness of southern SE Alaska, the Great Bear Rainforest of British Columbia and the San Juan Islands of Washington. We explore wilderness waters where larger ships cannot venture-that is the beauty of small ship cruises. Being flexible lets us change course to take full advantage of wildlife sightings. We only cruise during the day and spend our evenings in secluded inlets. Our days are spent cruising, kayaking and hiking in the glacier carved wilderness of the inside passage. Come explore with us, we are Alaskans and love to share this majestic wilderness with you and 11 other like minded wilderness adventurers.

Imagine yourself on our beautiful ship, cruising through pristine wilderness waters surrounded by soaring glacier-carved peaks. The Sea Wolf is a comfortable expedition vessel, which is expertly run by a fun, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic professional crew of five. We offer active small ship cruising adventures suitable for people of all abilities on our universally-accessible ship. Our routes span the breadth of the Inside Passage along the shores Alaska, British Columbia and Washington. Onboard the Sea Wolf you will always find an option to suit your mood – relaxing on the heated aft deck enjoying a panoramic view, learning about the nature of the Pacific Northwest from our naturalist, or participating in long or short paddles and hikes. Stroll the beach or access a mountain ridge…you will find all the ingredients for an unforgettable adventure.

For those that take paddle in hand, the use of our very stable sea kayaks allows a more intimate, seals eye view of the tidewater glaciers, fjords, islets and estuary streams that make up this coastal wilderness. We will paddle through one of the most beautiful and biologically diverse area's in North America.

See yourself hiking a sandy beach following in the tracks of bears , wolves and moose. We hike most days and encounter all manner of terrains: from rocky slopes abutting glaciers to sandy beaches and across the mossy floor of the rainforest. Our hikes vary from easy to challenging as we wander the landscape absorbing the natural history of each magical place. Our small ship cruise will take you places where we rarely encounter other vessels.

All eyes are usually on deck scanning the beach's and hillsides for bears, wolves, mountain goats and other creatures of the landscape. One of the most heard phrase on the Sea Wolf is " Yikes, You cannot even go to the restroom for fear of missing something". Captain Jodi calls this "FOMO - fear of missing out". The landscape is always alive with color from painted rock faces to blooming plants and the hypnotic blue ice.

The nutrient rich waters of Glacier Bay supports a myriad of marine species. During your adventure we will see porpoises, sea otters, harbor seals, humpback whales and perhaps the elusive always on the move-Orcas. We spend most of one day watching the acrobatic humpback whales. For me there is nothing quite as thrilling as hearing and seeing these whales up front, close and personal.
